What is Functional Neurology?
Functional neurology is a chiropractic specialty that studies the nervous system. It’s a board-certified technique that identifies malfunctions within the brain, spinal cord and nerves. The only difference between medical neurology and functional neurology is within the use of prescription medication. A functional neurologist relies on holistic and manual remedies, creating a more natural approach.
How Can Functional Neurology Help You?
Functional neurology treats issues related to the anatomy, functions and organic disorders of nerves and the nervous system.
A functional neurologist is a specialist in “brain-based” therapy with a focus on the brain’s role in joint, muscle, biomechanical and neurological dysfunction. Dr. Anthony Paternoster uses diagnoses to determine lost or impaired functions, ultimately using treatments such as eye movements, light stimulation, sound tones, vibration, and brain-based chiropractic adjustments to improve the individual’s brain imbalance.
